Found out Monday night that I’m getting a raise come this summer when I start manning the phones. Pretty sweet.
Still apartment hunting for this summer, hopefully I can actual find a place so I won’t have to move back home. I love my parents and all, but I like living on my own a whole bunch more.
I tried studying for my 2 tests today Monday and Tuesday night. I think I did ok. Last night Darren and I went to Denny’s for a couple of hours to read. It helps, because if I try to read at my apartment, I just fall asleep.
Tonight is Applebees, which I missed last week. Hopefully I won’t suck too badly. Tomorrow is Wild Country of course, and I don’t know much about what’s going on the rest of the weekend.
7 days until Vegas!!!
Well I pulled out my best game on Lauren on Thursday night at WC and didn’t get very far. It’s not the first time and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Besides, there’s always next week.
After skipping Anth 111 Friday morning, I had a pretty boring day at work, and then band. I make some good smalltalk with Jenny, and then Darren convinced me to go to the Art museum this week instead of then.
After working on InterFAQs for awhile, Darren, Lisa, and I went to Taco Bell to get some dinner. After chilling after that for a bit, we went over to Chris Brown to watch some of the crazy games going on this year in the NCAA. Then we went to WC and stayed until close. After that we were all hungry and I was craving Steak n Shake chilli like normal, so we headed over there to take care of it.
Saturday, I went to the EB to get rid of the one the CAOS tshirts I have left, only to find out that she didn’t show. After that, my car wouldn’t start, but then I tried it via remote start and it fired right up. Pretty weird.
Yesterday was Easter, and after a large lunch with the Maisenhelders and the Douthitts, we headed out to the Windler’s. We watched some more basketball, ate some food, and played some pinnocle. I headed back after that and decided to pick up another domain.
Busy week ahead. Work tonight, 2 tests on Wednesday which I (hopefully) will begin studying for tonight.
It’s been a pretty sweet few days. Tuesday, I got my Linear Algebra test back, and not only did I pass, I got a 71!! That’s great, considering I expected about a 60. After that, Jen, Aaron, and I headed out to Mt. Carmel to spend the night on the way to Indianapolis. After dropping Jen off, Aaron and I went to the K of C hall looking for the rumored $1 Miller Lite bottles. When we got there, we found out they do in fact have them, but they closed at 11:30pm and we got there about 11:35. So we went to a liquor store, picked up a 6 pack, and drank it in is front yard, the Mt. Carmel way.
Wednesday we headed out for Indy. After several hours of driving we got there, and turns out it’s a pretty nice place there. They have a nice mall we hung out at for a bit, then got dinner at Smokey Bones BBQ (thanks MarBil gift cards) and then headed over to the game. Our seats were pretty high up, but we could see well enough to see the Pacers beat the Spurs. After the game we headed back and almost ran out of gas in Highland. We did avert disaster however, and got back around 1am last night.
I decided to skip CMIS 108 this morning, so now my day is just getting going, and it’s 11:20am on a Thursday morning.
WC tonight, probably the STL Art museum for Anth 111 extra credit tomorrow.
And we will call it InterFAQs weekend.
I spent more time this past weekend on InterFAQs than I thought was humanly possible. I worked on it for a minute after the CAOS lecture on Friday night, which was really interesting. Then I slept in, and worked on it ALL DAY AND NIGHT on Saturday, then wanted to work on it yesterday, but couldn’t, because I was at home, and was doing the family thing.
I learned three important things this weekend. Olive Garden is busy as a mug on Sunday nights, I am obsessed with InterFAQs right now, and that IE likes the string.charAt(index) function and not using string[index]. I spent several hours trying to figure this out. And, I have written what may be the best multiplatform, interactive, php/mysql/javascript/html spellchecker ever made.
Tonight I’m working at MarBil. I’ll be in Indianapolis on Wednesday for my birthday.
I have had what I believe to be the busiest week ever.
I was up until around 1:30 Monday night working on my incredibly stupid CMIS 108 crap. Tuesday, I was busy all day on CAOS, work, class, and Senior Project something fierce.
Wednesday I was busy again, and except for trivia, worked on everything pretty much all day. I find that I’m slowly starting to take over CAOS and do pretty much everything myself. I have this problem that I just submerse myself in stuff, so now I just think about CAOS all the time. My group also gave our presentation in Health Education 201, and I did the best in the group. I got a 100, and some girl got like a 65, so that went incredibly well. I needed that too, because I’m also doing pretty poorly in there also.
Last night I totally failed my Linear Algebra test, but I really don’t care. I went to WC and forgot about it. It’s my senior year, I need a C in there to graduate with my minor, and a D just to graduate. I’ve lost motivation in my stupid classes.
This morning I had to get InterFAQs running on the actual servers. It went pretty well after the first hour of not getting anywhere. I actually ended up taking off apache, mysql, and php, and installing a nice open source bundle called apache2triad. It has a nice automatated installation, and of course includes phpMyAdmin, which I really don’t think I could live without.
Tonight CAOS is having a lecture called “Is It Possible for Machines to Think?”, followed by the tshirt distribution, a couple bookeeping needs, then season 2 of Red vs. Blue. After that I have no idea.
Tomorrow CAOS is supposed to be having an all night LAN party at Elite Gaming, but due to lack of participation, I have a feeling it will get cancelled. Sunday the family and I are going out for my birthday, which is this coming Wednesday. Busy stuff–but I like it.
Friday night I went to WC again and got pretty trashed. This was after going to Red Lobster and living large off MarBil Gift Cards. I slept it off something fierce the next day, and got ready for the Casino night at Bob and Carla’s (trivia crowd). It was a really great time. I can finally play craps–just in time for Vegas.
Yesterday I went with my folks and looked at some houses–those crazy kids are looking to move again. Last night I got my ass totally kicked in poker–I was out in 7 hands and about 15 minutes. You never really expect someone to have 4 of a kind.
Tonight I’m working, doing a semester worth of CMIS 108 homework, and getting ready for my presentation that got moved to Wednesday because class was cancelled today.
I didn’t really do much this past weekend. I went home on Saturday morning, then hung out with the family that day. I saw Constantine with Nick on Saturday, and then The Jacket on Sunday. I thought the Jacket was pretty good, and Constantine was pretty weak.
I worked all day Monday at MarBil, then came back Monday night. Tuesday morning we left for Lake Egypt. It was a nice house on a nice spot on the Lake, but there really wasn’t much to do there. We all go pretty drunk on Tuesday night (Aaron, Mark, Darren, Nick, and I), but by Wednesday, we realized we really didn’t have much of anything to do. We watched TV and movies all day. Don’t get me wrong, it was nice to get away from everything.
I missed trivia last night, but I got a call about 11 last night and I won the nice metal cooler they were giving away. So that was sweet. I was going to miss WC tonight, but because we came back a day early, I’m able to make it tonight.
I don’t really have any plans tomorrow or Saturday during the day. Bob and Carla from Applebees are having a casino night on Saturday night, so that’s what I’ll be doing then.
Stuff is finally starting to calm down again. It was crazy busy for about the first half of the week.
Wednesday I had to order the prints for the CAOS tshirt, which meant I got to be off work that morning. In trivia Wednesday night I did ok, I’ve done better, but I just love it there, so it’s all ok.
I also found out that the apartments around here only know what’s available in the next 30 days. So I have to start calling around for summer stuff the beginning of April. I’m sure it’ll all work out, but I’m a little apprehensive about not having anywhere to live until right before the summer term starts.
Last night was WC, and Jen, Aaron, and Lindsey happened to go to. It was a good time.
Tonight the most of the crew and I are putting up some more cans on the wall, then I’m not really sure. Tomorrow I think I’m going home to hang out with Dad and then spend some time with Alex.
Tuesday morning we leave for Lake Egypt. Darren, Aaron, Nick, maybe Aaron’s brother, maybe another friend of Darren’s, and I are renting a house on the lake. It’s gonna be way to cold to do much of anything besides drink beer, so I guess that’s what we’ll do.
I know it’s been a week again, sorry.
Everything’s been pretty hectic the last week. So hectic there’s a girl I’m supposed to call that I haven’t even had time to call since this past Thursday night.
Mostly school, CAOS, grad school, and grad assistantship stuff going on right now. Stuff’s all kind of culminating right now, and I’m just starting to get caught up.
