Well stuff is coming together for the end of college. I’m moving out of my new apartment this Saturday, still looking for a place in Belleville, and trying to study adequately for finals and get InterFAQs comepletely done. All in all it’s going pretty well.
Trivia starts up again tonight after about a month hiatus. I’ve really missed it, and I’ve missed the Miller Lite and the Nachos Nuevos.
Tonight the crew and I are putting up cans on the wall in an effort to make it up to 1000. We’re even considering getting tshirts made that say “The 1000 can club”. It should be pretty sweet.
I’m still supposed to go out with Jenny this Friday, and I’m excited. I can’t really read her though, so I’ll see what happens. Today is the last time I’m scheduled to see her, so I’ll just see what happens. I may just be honest with her and see what happens. I ran out of time to play games. I’ll just hope for the best.
Speaking of hoping for the best, I have my HED 201 final today at noon, and I actually quite a bit of the book. So hopefully I’ll do ok.
Peace out.
I’ve had another dramatic week, probably about the most dramatic ever. In the last week, I’ve decided not to use my GA for the next couple years, not to even work at Special Services, and not even pursue my master’s right now.
I thought a lot about it, and have talked with my parents, bosses, fellow students, and coworkers. So, after graduation in a couple weeks, I’m going to start working for MarBil full-time. I may or may not ever get my masters degree. I know the chances of ever starting up again are slim, but I am just so tired of school right now that I’m not sure if I could handle another couple years of it. So now, I lose my apartment in Edwardsville, and probably my security deposit, and I have to find a place in Belleville. But I can find a place in Belleville equivalent to what I have here for a probably a hundred bucks less a month.
It was a little tough for me to cope with all this and figure it out, but Lindsey really helped put it all in perspective.
So, we’ll see where it all takes me.
I’ve had another crazy busy week and things are just starting to calm down right now. I may not have an assistanship anymore this Fall because part of our funding didn’t get picked up by the state, so we’ll see what happens. I worked at Springfest quite a bit last week trying to get rid of the iPod Shuffle. We ended up breaking even.
I moved in a bunch of stuff in my apartment this weekend. It’s almost inhabitable. As soon I get a dresser in there and get my cable tv and modem installed (this Friday), I’ll move in. It’s not going to be cheap living there, but you gotta do what you gotta do, and living large ain’t easy.
Vegas was pretty awesome. My dad was crazy hot on the slots, and kept funding my losing at the Roulette table. The conference was pretty cool, but it was weird though. We were there on Thursday from 10-1:30ish. By the end of that time, we were pretty tired of the whole conference. The weird thing is, it ran Tuesday-Thursday from 10-5pm. I don’t know what someone would do there for 3 full days, but whatever they do, we weren’t able to do it.
Our flight left Vegas at 7am, and with how crazy busy their airport is there, we had to get there at 5am. Which means we had to leave the hotel at 4:45am, and we had to get up at 4:30. We initially were just going to stay up the whole night before and just sleep on the plane, but we got kind of tired of gambling by the second night, so we decided to call it early Thursday night at 2:30. A couple of hours of sleep and we were ready to go. We did sleep on the planes, but it’s only about 3 hours of air time, so it wasn’t the best. Friday night I slept on the couch from around 4-9, got some taco bell, watched dodgeball, then went to bed about 11.
Saturday I bought a bunch of stuff for my new apartment which I get the keys for today. I’m pretty stoked.
Yesterday, I went to Goodwill and picked up my new computer desk. My parents are going to bring it up Saturday, and we also going to go to the Thrift Store on Base, and hopefully pick up a couch and some end tables.
I’ve got a pretty busy week this week with work, work, class, Springfest, and my new apartment, but I think I do better when I’m busy, so it’s all good.
It’s been a pretty hectic week since I last posted. I am now getting my own apartment which I can occupy on April 15th. It’s this 1 bedroom place by the middle school. I like it back there a lot. I realize though, there is a lot of stuff to buy in an unfurnished apartment. But it’ll be really nice to have my own place.
I also had some complications this weekend with my phone. I tried to call this new girl I’m talking to, but unknowingly called the wrong one because I had 2 duplicate entries in my phone. No real harm done, but I thought that the phone would tell me if I entered in 2 entries with the exact same name.
I’m heading out to Vegas tomorrow afternoon for ISC west and coming back Friday. It should be a fun couple of days being out there on the company tab.
I can’t believe UNC won, I was pulling for Illini.
