Archive for June, 2005
The Buick sold the first morning it was in the paper. I had no doubt Becky would sell so quickly, but I was surprised to get more for her than I honestly expected to.
I’ve been working on getting Mindy all cleaned and polished up. I had a couple blown fuses, but I fixed those and now all the bells and whistles work.
I don’t really have any plans all week, so I guess I’ll just wax Mindy again, watch tv, work on InterFAQs, and wait for that random occurence when I meet the girls of my dreams.
Well my mom passed her test as I knew she would.
Lindsey has supposedly fallen off of the face of the earth, because everytime I call it goes straight to voicemail and she never returns my calls. Needless to say, I didn’t do much on Wednesday.
Thursday was good ole Wild Country. We now I guess have upped it to 4 pitchers for the 3 of us. It used to be 3 (one apiece), but now it’s 4 I guess. Work gets tougher and tougher on Friday mornings.
Friday night I just chilled because I was so tired.
Saturday I hung out Darren, Nick, and Lisa. We watched Be Cool which was relatively weak, and then we went to see Batman Begins which was relatively awesome. I thought it was arguably the best Batman movie. I was a little dissappointed because a couple of the ideas in the plot don’t quite fit with the other movies, and I can only imagine how much it differs from the comic books, but nonetheless, it is a great movie and I highly recommend it.
Sunday was Father’s day, and the Douthitt/Maisenhelder clan went to the St. Louis History Museum, then the Zoo, and then to Red Lobster for dinner. After the two clans parted ways, my parents and me went to look at an Eclipse, and I ended up buying it. I love that car. Sadly it’s not legal to drive yet, and probably won’t be until early next week, so all I can do is wash and wax it in the driveway and imagine how sweet it looks when it’s moving.
Today was rather uneventful. It focused around getting my insurance stuff together for Mindy (my new car–Mindy the Mitsubishi) and preparing Becky (my soon to be former Buick) to be sold.
Tomorrow I have no real plans, and Wednesday I also have no real plans. Thursday I’m hanging out with the crew (most of it) and then going to WC to pitcher it up. The weekend is still quite up in the air.
Another week since my last post. You’d think with my free time that wouldn’t be the case.
The week has been fairly uneventful. Wednesday hung out with Darren and Nick. Thursday Wild Country. Friday hung out with my parents and Alex (they had him for the weekend). Saturday went out with Jeanie again. We went to this cirucs in St. Louis. It was really fun, I haven’t been to a circus in a long time. After that we went to dinner and hung out and watched some TV for awhile.
Sunday the family together for Steph’s birthday. We went to Lottawotta creek, then came back for gifts, then they headed back.
Yesterday I went to look at a 2000 Eclipse GT. Took it for a spin, it was a dream to drive. But the salesman I had was quite the idiot, and didn’t really know anything, so I ended up not buying it. I’m keeping my eye open, though.
Today I’m staying at a home for a bit tonight to eat some free Pizza Hut, do laundry, and to help my Mom with this computer test she has to take for work.
Tomorrow night I think Lindsey is coming down to see the new place and so we can catch up, because we haven’t talked much the last few weeks, and we used to talk like everyday.
Not much happened this weekend. I was going to go to Margarita Mama’s on Friday night, but I was tired as a mug, and wasn’t really feeling up to it.
Saturday about half of the crew and Aaron’s brother and I went bar hopping in Alton. We hit up Fast Eddie’s and a few other places. It was decent.
Sunday the same crowd came over to my place and we played some poker, then got some food, then just chilled for a bit. I started running on Sunday night, and I ran Monday and Tuesday (today). I think I’ll keep on that everyday regiment because I feel better when I run, and honestly, I don’t have much else to do.
This week has really flown by.
With the day off on Monday, I’ve had my days confused all week. All week I have thought it is a different day than it is.
Last night was the last trivia ever. It was very bittersweet, but Jodi really needs to get her life moving. Besides, we’re all getting together for some kind of picnic in a couple weeks, so it’s not like I’ll never see that crowd again.
Tonight I’m going to WC (big surprise). Tomorrow night I think I’m going to Margarita Mama’s with (some?) of the crew. Saturday I’m doing some babysitting and maybe going to see Star Wars again. Sunday I’m trying to get some people together for some poker, cuz I’m going through major withdrawls not playing.
