Well Cindy came and went. We were getting a long pretty well, and then I realized that we really don’t get along that well.
I did get to go to the Rascall Flatts concert because of her. It was majorly awesome. So I guess I’m back in the game.
I’ve had interesting couple of days.
They always say when it rains it pours. I haven’t met any decent girls in a long time, and now I have multiple things happening at the same time. It’s always happened that way for me with girls. I’ll have a few show up at one time, and then they all fizzle out somehow. Hopefully that won’t happen this time. I went out Friday night with Cindy. It was a good time.
Saturday was my attempted double wedding. Lindsey had always told me that Greenfield was about an hour away. So yesterday I look up the directions online about 2 hours before the wedding starts. Turns out it’s about 1:45 minutes away. Must have been an hour from Edwardsville, not Belleville. So I haul butt and get on the road right away. Then there’s frickin construction on 157 and it takes me about half an hour to get from Cracker Barrel onto 64. I got all the way to Alton, got lost, and then finally gave up realizing I would probably miss the entire wedding. I came back.
I then attended Chris and Anne’s reception. It was at Albert’s. It was nice. Free beer, and lots of it. Somewhat of a high school reunion like I expected.
Today is Father’s day stuff, and honestly I’m not really sure what we’re doing. Not much else going on this week.
The bachelor party was pretty fun. There were no strippers there, but it was still fun. He had a couple kegs which we drank most of. There were a bunch of people there I didn’t know, but it was sweet. They had a house rented on a lake and we just hung out the whole time. I tried horseshoes, and I’m no good at that. Played some washers, I’m not too bad at those. Darren had some quotable stomach problems.
Sunday I just hung around all day.
Monday we had a big get together fish fry for Memorial Day. All the family was over and it was a pretty enjoyable day.
The rest of last week was fairly uneventful. The next thing was the Mt. Carmel wedding on Saturday. Darren, Lisa, and I drove up and then the wedding, and reception. It was the first wedding and reception that I have been to where they were peers and I knew both the bride and the groom. It was sweet because I haven’t seen a lot of those people in awhile and especially not in the same area. Anyway it was a good time. I couldn’t seduce Aaron’s sister because her boyfriend was there, and I tried to seduce another bridesmaid but she shot me down. All in all it was a good time.
Sunday I pretty much just laid around. Most of the rest of this week hasn’t really been much of anything.
