The Truthiness
If you love Stephen Colbert like I do, you are probably aware of his green screen light sabre contest type idea.
Anyway, my favorite is one somebody did of him to make it look like an iPod Commerical.
Great Role Model
Ever notice when you watch Cribs on MTV, whenever a rap star is on, they always have a Scarface DVD? I finally saw Scarface for the first time tonight. It’s a really sweet movie, but not exactly one I would want to model my life on. Especially the part where you die by multiple gun wounds.
Maybe 50 cent is trying to be like Scarface but has just been unsuccessful so far.
Facebook Friendly
My blog is now part of this new notes function on facebook.
It doesn’t seem to like the embedding of media, like youtube videos for example. We’ll see.
AMAZING guitar player
My favorite guitar solo. This guy is awesome.
Ajax is working!
Well, all the major functionalities are done. You can now do everything without a page refresh. Add, edit, and delete, without a page refresh, pretty sweet. And it’s fairly secure against bots. The bots would need to run javascript and know the password. Most can’t do either and I don’t think any could do both.
Random Thought
I heard once that the can opener design hasn’t had any major design change in over 100 years. I guess you can’t improve on perfection? Maybe, but there are still cheap can openers, like the one I just had to replace.
Here’s to Walking!!!
I’ve noticed that lately, that when I run, my right leg it SO much more sore than my right leg. Sometimes so much I can barely walk after I run. I think I may have flat feet or something. I’m going to do some research, because I don’t want to do any permanent damage.
Can’t Spend Money When I Try
My life has become so patheic. I decided today that I would go to the Galleria and buy something–shoes, clothes, something.
Anyway, I get there, and I can’t find anything to buy. I look at clothes and nothing looks right. I look at sunglasses and none of them look right on my head.
I need to find something to buy that isn’t a friggin $1000 laptop.
I thinking about taking a trip somewhere to find myself and clear my head. We’ll see.
Ajax is sweet
Well I’m well on my way to having all of tfizzle be 1 page.
My goal is that everything’s built on Ajax and there are never any page reloads. Using Ajax is kind of fun, but more than anything, it’s tough to debug. When you’re using PHP to write JavaScript and then using it for Ajax, you have a hard time tracing errors to where they actually occur.
Working Major OT
I’m still here. Still not much going on. Running and hanging out mostly. I went out to Edwardsville on Friday because what remains of the crew started school again. We had a small get together.
Other than that I haven’t done all that much. I did have to work solo Thursday, Friday, and about half of Monday. My parents went out of town for a long weekend and I had to do everything. It’s quite a job. I could get used to it, though. I get paid 3x for solo overtime, and I had about 3 hours a day. I would work 7-6 no breaks, and 3 of that is 3x overtime. So, the money makes the work worthwhile.
