Nothing much new
I guess Amy doesn’t want to talk to me. I only know this because now she doesn’t return phone calls, so I guess that’s it.
I saw Flags of our Fathers last night. It was pretty good, but it’s a little hard to follow. It jumps around a lot.
This morning I played guitar. I decided I’d like to make the jump for a drummer that plays guitar to a guitar player. I figure if I just keep practicing, it’ll happen.
Tuesday is Halloween. We’re doing the annual thing where Steph, Joel, Alex, and Cheryl come over. Wednesday is the Flame meeting. I’m a little nervous about how many people will show up. I guess I’ll find out soon enough.
World Series Champs!!!
Cardinals win!! Champions!!!!
Another Win
The cards win again. 1 more game and we’re World Series champs!
Boring Week
Man I am going out of my mind. I haven’t done anything all week, and I’m starting to get stir crazy. I bet part of it is the weather, but I think a lot of it too is the fact that I really haven’t gone out or done anything in awhile.
Classic Family Guy
I like 6 and 1 the best, personally.
I am surprised yet again
Turns out, Amy did call. I had already given up on her, but then she called about 11:30. We went out to lunch yesterday, then hung out at my apartment for a bit, and then I took her home. I think it went pretty well. I guess I’ll have to see how things pan out.
Last night the Cards won game 1. Nice. At least there’s no sweep this year.
I am getting tired of playing the drums in church. I can’t pinpoint why, but I really am. I think it may be that guitar is so much more new and exciting and the drums are just the same thing over and over again. I’m going to start alternating with Steve to play guitar every other week or so. Add that with my monthly guitar gig, and I’ll be playing the drums no more than half the time.
To be ready for my expanded playing, I had to buy a volume pedal today at Guitar Center. It was like 100 bucks–just the change the volume. Talk about highway robbery.
I’m Departed
I saw the departed. It was pretty good, but not quite as good as I thought it would be. After al it does have half of my favorite actors.
The small group kickoff bonfire was Wednesday. It was a pretty good night for a bonfire. Cold, but not too cold.
Last night. Oh geez, let me tell you. I was doing my normal not a lot of anything, when out of the blue, Amy calls me. Needless to say I was a bit surprised. Anyway, we were talking, and I asked her out again. She seemed willing to go to lunch with me on Saturday. She said she’d call today to finalize it. I guess I should have seen it coming a mile away. Hindsight is always 20/20. Anyway, as you probably alread guessed, she never called back. I should have known the I’ll call you tomorrow to finalize trick is an easy way to get off the phone. I wish I could see these things at the time instead of taking them at face value. Anyway, I won’t be calling her again.
I don’t really have anything going on this weekend.
Rain
It’s been raining a lot the last couple days.
Yesterday morning I played guitar. I’m contemplating getting guitar lessons, but I haven’t decided yet.
Last night I was some Voyager episodes. Today was mad busy at work. It was a record-setting day for outbound packages.
I watched the neverending story tonight. I remember it being a lot better. All the parts I thought were in it, weren’t. I must have been thinking about a sequel. I guess I have to watch a sequel now.
Tomorrow night I’m going to see the departed with my Dad after hot wings at Dandy Inn. It’s become a fairly regular thing we do.
Wednesday is the small groups bonfire. I can’t say I know what to expect, except that I expect it to be fun.
I’ve been writing (music) again. I’m starting to have better luck thinking of lyrics and melodies. And especially now that I have all the stuff needed to record, I do. I even found a mic just sitting around in one of my dresser drawers. Some people write down their music when think of it. I just record it so I don’t forget. Maybe I’ll sell my songs to somebody someday and get massively rich. Or I’ll just keep them on my laptop forever and no one will ever hear them.
Site Spy Up
The new PoweredStats Site Spy is up and running as a feature of premium accounts only. Hopefully it will help push some more people to premium accounts. Or at least it will look cool.
Last night I watched the game with Darren, Lisa, Eric, and Lauren over at Lisa’s house. Baseball is pretty boring. Anyway, we won.
Today I’ve just been messing around with PoweredStats some more, tweaking and enhancing the admin.
Tomorrow I play guitar in the morning, then pretty much nothing the rest of the day, again.
