Good times
Monday night was practice, I cut it short.
Tuesday was small groups. We went to Taco Bell for food, and then to Zion to play football and basketball in the gym.
Wednesday night would have been practice, but I canceled it. Thursday I went to the SIUE basketball game with Darren and Lisa. Friday night I pretty much just hung out.
Saturday I went to Mt. Carmel with Darren and John. Lisa was going to go, but she wasn’t feeling well. On the way out there, I learned that Darren’s car now spouts water through the dashboard when it rains. That was really funny.
Once we got there we all went for lunch at this pizza place called Little Italy’s. It was really good. After that, we went back to Jen and Aaron’s trailer and played poker and played guitar hero II. Later that night we went bowling. We played three games. Darren and I had $1 a game bet. He won 2 and I won 1. My playing got seriously worse as the night went on. Possibly it had to do with the pitchers.
After that we went back. We watched some SNL, and played some more poker. We were all already seriously tired. I was getting majorly lucky in poker this weekend, though. I won 3 out of 4 games. Sunday we all left when Jen and Aaron went to church. We got back about 11.
I cleaned up, and then headed off to Zion to the carpool for our last regular season game. After we got there, the other team didn’t show. So, we ended the season with a win, a final record of 9-6. Excluding the forfeit game which we would have won, it would have been 10-5.
After that I headed back to church for club. I showed up pretty much just in time to start playing.
I then snuck out after our set. I got some Taco Bell and watched The Prestige. It was pretty good.
Tonight I watched Sneakers. It’s better than I remember. I don’t really have anything going on this week. I wonder if I’ll get bored.
BBall weekend
This weekend was consumed pretty much entirely with basketball.
Friday night we played Bethlehem’s 2nd team. They had a few players which were not there the last time we played them. These few people also scored most of their points. I don’t know the reason, but it is a little suspicious.
Saturday we played Peace Lemay. They’re not that good of a team. We should have won by more, we had way too many turnovers.
Yesterday we played CMR Black for the 3 time this season. We played pretty crappy again. We were down by 2 with about 20 seconds left. Brent goes for a shot, gets fouled, and sinks both of his free throws tying the game. They get the ball, get a good look but miss the shot. We now have the ball with about 2 seconds left. We inbound the ball to Brent who is a past NBA 3 point range. He shoots and sinks it. Nothing but the bottom of the net. It was great. We all rushed the floor and ran around for a minute. It was a fun ending to the game.
After that, I had Club. We played 6 songs instead of the normal 4. Then I got to help out and watch the inflatable pen.
This week is fairly busy. I have practice tonight, small groups tomorrow, practice on Wednesday (which I’d like to cancel). Sunday is our last regular season game. I’m going to Mt. Carmel this Saturday and Sunday to visit the Crumleys.
More babies
Would you believe it if I found out today that Rachel (my other exgirlfriend) is also pregnant.
So now I have found out in 2 consecutive days that my 2 ex girlfriends are both pregnant. Kind of depressing.
But at least they’re not mine!!
Ugh
Would you believe it if I told you my ex-girlfriend Adriane Ramers (Miller) is now expecting her first with her husband? Pretty weird.
Odd day
Well, I couldn’t sleep that well last night. I guess more correctly I slept pretty well overnight, but I couldn’t sleep as long as I hoped this morning.
We had our game today. We played Peace Lemay. They’re not really that good of a team. We won by about 30 or so. We only had 6 guys dressed today. It could have gotten tricky, but we kept the fouls under control. We had an awful lot of turnovers today, especially considering that they weren’t really that good of a team. We play CMR Black tomorrow for the consolation championship tomorrow. We’ve already beat them a couple times, so I imagine we’ll probably win again.
I pretty much just hung out at my apt after the game. That’s pretty much what I felt like doing. I almost had band practice, but Keith couldn’t make it. Darren and Lisa and some people were going to Vespers, but I decided to pass.
I think I might go to early church tomorrow before the game. I haven’t been to early church in years, and I feel like I need to go to church tomorrow.
Tomorrow night is the big Club 66 kickoff event. That’s probably one of the most enjoyable things I have in my life right now. Being up there on stage playing, I think sometimes it’s the only place I feel at home.
I’ve been messing around with trading stocks again. I’m with TD Ameritrade, and when I signed up, I got 1000 free trades. I currently have about 980 left. I read the reports on stocks and stuff they have. I’m a pretty active trader right now, and I’ve been netting about $15 a day so far. It’s working out pretty well for me. If I can earn money with a hobby, that’s the way to do it. My main goal is just to outperform an online savings account, which I’ve already done for the whole year.
Loss
Well, we lost the game today. We missed a lot of shots, and they had a few players which weren’t there before.
We had problems, as usual, with people unable to stop talking. Nate got tossed again for being out of control and talking too much. I’m benching him tomorrow as a result of this. I hope that it doesn’t cost us the game, but if it does, so be it.
