Still at It

Last week I pretty much just ran and lifted all week. I’m still taking the protein shakes to help me bulk up a bit.

Friday night I went out with Darren to celebrate my 24th birthday as well his new job at Reuters which he’s pretty stoked about.

Saturday I ran in the morning, chilled, and then went to Buffalo Wild Wings for my birthday with the family. I also watched Last of the Mohicans (decent) and Beneath the Planet of the Apes (also decent) on Saturday. Beaneath is probably my least favorite of the Apes series.

Sunday was church and club. Club was really fun for some reason on Sunday. One of the other guitar players was missing (Chad), so I had a lot more space to move around, and I found myself rocking out even more than normal. After that I ran, and watched some Lois and Clark.

Last night I lifted, today I ran. Today was kind of a cool day at work. We sold some stuff to Apple, and a BUNCH of stuff to the Georgia Dome to be used for the final four this weekend. That was pretty sweet.

The rest of the week, who knows. Tomorrow night is running and church, Thursday, who knows, and the weekend, who knows. Alex is coming over on Thursday, so that may take up more of my time.

Looking Ripped

Last week I started running and I got a membership at Livrite to start working out and lifting. I’m hoping to gain some muscle and lose some fat before I go to Hawaii in July.

Saturday was St. Patrick’s day. I went to Edwardsville to some house of some guy that Lisa knows. It was alright. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad.

Tonight is a thing at Laser Rock for small groups. I haven’t done laser tag since probably my sophomore year in high school (maybe 8ish years ago).

The rest of the week is pretty much just trying to get cut, we’ll see how it goes.

Friday I think I might actually have band practice again. Saturday my family and I are going out for my birthday.

Win 1 Lost 2

Small groups was normal. Wednesday was church. Thursday Darren and Lisa came over and we watched American Idol.

Friday I left early from work and headed up to Peoria for the state basketball tournament. Turns out the Best Western we were supposed to stay in was bought out or something and became a Jamison Inn. Everyone got there ok, though.

I got totally mad lost on the way to the first game. I ended up way in the wrong place. I backtracked all the way back to the hotel, asked the worker for directions, and got good ones. It was extremely easy to find once I had directions.

We won Friday night by 3 against Zion Belvidere. Saturday morning we played St. Stephens. They’re not that great of a team, but they have won State the last 2 years. We lost by 9, and we were within 5 at one point. It was pretty good.

After hanging out with my parents for a little bit, we had our 2nd game of the day against Holy Cross. We didn’t do so hot in that one. We lost by about 30, and we had almost beat them in our regular season game.

I told the kids about it being the end of me coaching with grad school coming up. I could have left and came home Saturday night, but I figured I’d stay the night and make a vacation out of it.

I got back Sunday about noon. Lunch, Club (I got to play electric).

Today I started running again. I figured I should take advantage of the down time before classes start, and it was warm today.

I also cut my hair really short tonight. I was going to make myself do it. I wasn’t exactly looking forward to it, but I figure I had to do it sooner or later, and it was only going to get tougher as I got older. Needless to say, I’m sporting a bit more mature look, if you know what I mean. If you don’t, you’ll know soon enough.

Same Old

Last week there wasn’t really much of anything going on. I didn’t have any practice all week, and there was no small groups on Tuesday. As a result, I didn’t have too much going on.

I did go to church, Wednesday night, however.

Thursday I went to Margaritas with the gang. Friday night I pretty much hung out. Saturday, I worked on a Saturday for the first time in years. We put up some cameras at our accountant’s place to have business looking atmosphere for the internet viewing demos. Saturday night, I watched some Voyager episodes and went to Borders for a bit.

Sunday I played guitar in church, and we discovered a new song for Club. I went back for lunch, and then back to Church for Club. We played on the floor because the stage was full of stuff for the yard sale this coming weekend. After that I got a pizza from Little Caesar’s and watched the original Planet of the Apes.

Today was practice. It was going to be the last practice, but we didn’t have enough kids. So there’s a new practice Wednesday night which is the new last practice.

Tomorrow night is Small Groups, Wednesday practice. Thursday who knows, and then this weekend is the state tournament.
