Same Day, different crap

In the big picture very little has changed over the last week. My garage door opener broke, and then I fixed it with another spring. The previous owners had left 2 extra springs–probably anticipating just such an event–which I used one of to replace the one that broke.

I’ve been doing some different stuff at work lately. With Barb doing more and more, I get to spend most of my time doing web programming. I probably spend about 60% of my time web programming. With the shopping cart, the inventory management stuff, making the various sites work with the aforementioned stuff, it takes up a fair amount of time. Really, though, we’ve made such leaps and bounds with the new stuff I’ve developed. I still have some pretty big plans ahead, too.

Yesterday morning it took me an hour to get to work. For some reason, with the snow and temperature the roads were pretty bad. Both Old Collinsville Rd and Hartman Ln were bumper to bumper stop and go for over a mile. I probably saw 5 cars in the ditches on the way to work. I’ve never seen it so bad in Belleville or Fairview.

End of Week

For some odd reason, I have been really exhausted this past week. I really haven’t done that much. I’ve worked a lot, and pretty hard, on various things, and that’s probably it. I’ve barely watched any TV or movies in the last couple of weeks.

As a result of that, I think I’m going to take it as easy as I can this weekend. Hang out tonight, do as little as possible tomorrow, with the exception of a few errands I have to run. I do have Club and Overflow on Sunday. But that’s really not that bad.

It is 2008

News year’s eve this year was much like Christmas. I thought it really lacked any zing. I think I’m going to start not doing anything for Christmas and New Years.

We had a family thing at Mom and Dad’s. We went bowling, and then went back and played games. I stopped by Chris and Anne’s because they were have a party.

All and all it has been pretty much a lackluster holiday season. I enjoy Christmas lights, and the idea of Christmas, but the party and commercialization of both of them has really made me want to not even celebrate them.
