Christmas 2008

We’ll call this the Christmas post for 2008.

My lights are still going strong.  I’ve seen quite a few people stop and watch the show.  I picked up my lights for next year’s show yesterday morning at Walmart.  I was there about 10 till 6am.  I had to get there when they opened so I could get the best vareity I could of half off lights.  I made a killing.  I think I got all the lights I will need for next year.

Christmas was good.  Christmas Eve was at my parents’ house.  Steph, Joel, Alex, my parents, and me.  We did gifts during the day.  Then, I had to play in 2 church services (5 & 7).  After that, we all went to my house to hang out and we watched The Year Without Santa (or something like that).  Old school claymation type.

Side projects still doing really well.  2008 is the first banner year.  Gross revenues up about 180%.  Hopefully I can keep on this pace.  That will enable my 5 year plan–I’m already done with 1 of the 5.  I havea  lot of promise and new fresh ideas for 2009 to keep growing.

Yesterday was kind of weird day.  I had a bunch of plans for yesterday and last night.  All of them fell through.  I ended up going to Wild Country, which was fun as normal, but the day sure didn’t pan out like I thought it would.  I still feel a little weird today because of that, but I think I’ll be fine by tomorrow.  Part of the plans that fell through yesterday have to do with my previous posting about lesson learned.  I forgot my lesson, and once again, it backfired. So hopefully I can keep myself down the right path here.  I guess I’m kind of weak when it comes to women.  This one has officially been taken off the list and she will not be returning.

Looking Up

I haven’t posted in a couple weeks.  So here are a few updates.

My side projects are doing pretty well.  I can’t go into specifics, but revenue is up about 170% over last year.  So that is good. So good, that I have to blow some of the profits for some good tax write offs.  I bought myself a new office chair the other day. Reinvesting profits.  2008 will go down as the year when I got my stuff off the ground.  So that is good.

Also, I have been doing pretty well personally, too.  Once again, I can’t go into too many details, but I’ve been finding my stride in a lot of stuff lately.

My Christmas lights are going strong.  I know there are some people that go by everyday because they like it so much.  I’ve already got most of my show planned for next year.  It may seem early, but I have to get my lights the day after Christmas for half off, so I need to have my show planned by then.

All in all, things are pretty good right now.
